Alice McClure's Meringue Cookies

(4)  3 egg whites
(3/4) 1/2 tsp. cr. tartar
(1-1/8) 3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 pkg. chocolate chips (6 oz.)

Beat egg whites until stiff with cream of tartar.  Add sugar gradually.  Add nuts and chocolate chips.  Spoon onto a greased cookie sheet by tspful.

Bake in 275 d. oven for 30 minutes.
